For those seeking a place more isolated, this would be Caramoan Peninsula's Gota beach.
It will take you another hour bus ride, an hour's bangka ride, another hour by jeep, and the last portion will be a 3 kms hike.

Gota beach in Caramoan peninsula is totally untouched environment for kayakers willing to bring their own boats.

A few reminders for those who are planning to go there:

1. Bring enough money for the travel, there are no ATM available in Pagudpud (I think the closest ATM is in Laoag which is several kilometers away). Credit cards are also not accepted anywhere there. All transactions are on cash basis only.

2. Waves can be very unfriendly during rainy season, make sure you swim near the shoreline especially if you're with kids. Water level suddenly drops also in some parts of the beach so be careful.

Apuao Grande Island is located in Camarines Norte, south of Manila, in the region of Bicol .
It is a beautiful resort with white sandy beaches and its own swimming pool, tennis court and golf course.

This island-barangay is surrounded by white fine sands. The beach and the water areas were described as a truly lover’s and scuba divers’ delight. The island can be reached from Mercedes proper via a 30-minute motorboat ride. Swagman Corp. which runs a chain of restaurants, beach resorts and hotels has already developed the main Apuao Grande for local and foreign visitors as well. A nearby islet called Apuao Pequeña is also currently being developed.

Not sure which hotels are good. There's a Mines Hotel along Vinzons Avenue.

There's also a Dolor Hotel within the town center.
It is not five star hotel but it is clean with air conditioned and with cable tv and it is only 500 pesos per night. There are lodging places also in Bagasbas Beach.

There are quite some cheap hotels there but from my experience, they do not have as many facilities as you might require or expect.

Yes, they do have excellent seafood and the local cuisine is one of the best in the Philippines that I ever tasted.

The local cuisine is Laing and it is hot and chili with coconut milk.
As with most old towns, the boulevard is the main area of leisure with restaurants, small eateries, and yes, karaoke bars.

It draws families, teenagers, and children during the later hours of the day.
Among the most popular hot spots is Alvino's Pizza, home to the tastiest post-session pizzas in the Daet area. Jollibee is located in the town center.

＜Bagasbas Beach Wave Riders＞

However, as I said before, there is little to expect from Daet since its a small town and nightlife of sorts is almost missing out there. Well, the town is still noisy with lots of tricycle out there.

But if you are looking for a relaxed and economic vacation, I would definitely suggest the place. I had written about this as a place for retirees and other travelers who want peace and quiet rather than the hustle and bustle of tourist .

Near my hometown is a beach but not a white one.

It is gray sand beach. Most of the beaches in Bicol is gray others are white but they are far and not so popular. Still to be discovered.

Bagasbas Beach, is warm beautiful beach which is open to the public. It is a good place for wave surfing for beginners. Also a good place for jogging and walking early in the morning and at sunset.

Bagasbas beach which is in Daet is only 342km away from Manila. There are buses in Manila going to Daet, at night trip it will only take about 8 hours and during the day about 10 hours.

Considered as one of the best surfing sites in the Philippines with swells reaching 3-6 feet which is ideal for beginners. On a lucky day it can reach up to eight feet.

＜Bagasbas Beach＞

Bagasbas is a beautiful beach with gray sand. The waves are really good for surfing specially around this time of the year. You have to be careful when you swim or surf in this beach because a lot of people get caught in the strong undercurrent every year. I almost drowned there when I was 8.

But if you are looking for a relaxed and economic vacation, I would definitely suggest the place. I had written about this as a place for retirees and other travelers who want peace and quiet rather than the hustle and bustle of tourist resorts.

Puerto Galera always rekindles in my mind whenever I would love to go relaxing.
Puerto Galera is only three and a half hours away from Manila first by bus to the port at Batangas City and then by boat.

Tourists can also take the tourist service called the Sikat, from the City State Tower Hotel in Manila from the Batangas City port to Puerto Galera or Sabang Beach, Mindoro.

Puerto Galera is very famous for its beaches and many snorkeling spots and diving spots.
It has some of the most diverse coral reefs in Asia and there are less fishermen here because Puerto galera can give them more income from the tourist.

The beaches are also white sand and many tourists are atrracted to scuba diving because the dive spots here are 20 m to 60 ft.

Prices for a single dive are around $24~$30 for a single tank dive, including equipment rental, boat and dive guide, with discounts for more dives .

You can also enjoy Banana Boat, Jetski, Vinta (Local Sailboat), Island Hopping, Mountain Biking, Rent a Motorbike, Rent a Banka Boat and go snokeling .

You can also buy souvenir items and have food trip in Puerto Galera stay there for a few days at tourist inns .

Enjoy Puerto Galera!!!!!
